BOSTON HOST COMMITTEE ANNOUNCES OFFICIAL BOSTON WORLD CUP 2026 HOST CITY SUPPORTERS

BOSTON, MA (February 25, 2026) – The Boston Host Committee for the FIFA World Cup 2026™ today announced State Street, Meet Boston, and Sanofi as Official Boston World Cup 2026 Host City Supporters. Their commitment underscores Boston 26’s mission to deliver a world-class FIFA World Cup 2026™ while creating a lasting economic and social legacy across the region.

As some of Boston’s most globally connected companies across the private and public sectors, the new Host City Supporters will help amplify Boston 26 initiatives that contribute to the growth of soccer across the region – including in underserved communities – while promoting volunteerism and elevating Boston’s role on the world stage during a milestone year for the city, as it hosts FIFA World Cup 2026™ and commemorates America’s 250th anniversary.

“Our country’s story began 250 years ago, and Boston has been a city of firsts ever since. These partnerships represent the very best of Boston – collaboration, leadership, and a shared commitment to creating a lasting legacy for the Commonwealth,” said Jon Persch, Chief Commercial Officer, Boston 26. “Our Host City Supporters bring the global reach, expertise, and civic pride needed to help deliver a transformative FIFA World Cup experience and an enduring impact in the region long after the final match next summer. We’re proud and honored that all of our partners are helping us author the next chapter in this amazing Boston story.”

State Street Chairman and CEO Ron O’Hanley serves as chairman of the Boston 26 Honorary Board, which also includes Tanisha M. Sullivan, Head of External Engagement at Sanofi, and Meet Boston President & CEO Martha Sheridan – whose leadership helped secure Boston’s successful bid to host FIFA World Cup 2026™ matches. The Honorary Board brings together notable business leaders across the public and private sectors to provide strategic guidance and vision as Boston prepares for next summer.

“Boston, Massachusetts, and greater New England thrive on global connection, civic pride, and community spirit. As a Boston World Cup 2026 Host City Supporter, State Street is proud to help bring the FIFA World Cup 2026 to our region, not just as a world-class sporting event, but as a catalyst for inclusive growth and lasting impact. This commitment builds on State Street’s broader community engagement, including our leadership role in Boston’s 250th anniversary celebrations,” said Ron O’Hanley, chairman and chief executive officer of State Street. “From expanding access to youth soccer to showcasing Boston and the Commonwealth on the international stage, we see this as an opportunity to celebrate what makes our region extraordinary and invest in its future.”

“Boston is a premier destination for world-class sports and events – and nothing showcases that more than hosting FIFA World Cup 2026 next summer,” said Martha Sheridan, President & CEO of Meet Boston. “With an anticipated $1.1B economic impact to the region from the seven FIFA World Cup matches, we’re committed to strengthening Boston’s sports legacy and delivering meaningful social and economic benefits for our hotels, restaurants, and local businesses across the region. As we welcome visitors – whether for the FIFA World Cup, future sporting events, or America’s 250th anniversary – we look forward to demonstrating that Boston knows how to deliver on the global stage.”

“Massachusetts has always been a place where community and innovation intersect and this partnership reflects our commitment to building on that legacy,” said Tanisha M. Sullivan, Head of External Engagement & Health Equity Strategy at Sanofi. “As we approach America’s 250th anniversary, there’s no better moment to invest in an event that brings people together, strengthens local businesses, and creates lasting value across the Commonwealth. At Sanofi, we believe that improving lives goes beyond science, it means forging strategic partnerships that drive real impact in the communities we serve. We’re proud to work with Boston 26, public officials, and business leaders to deliver an experience that celebrates our shared values while strengthening the position of Massachusetts on the world stage.”

Official Boston World Cup 2026 Host City Supporters will have non-exclusive usage of licensed IP and World Cup Host City Supporter logo rights, as well as preferred access to FIFA World Cup 2026™ hospitality suites and tickets to each of the seven FIFA World Cup 2026 matches at Boston Stadium. They’ll also have a presence across key fan and community engagement platforms, including the FIFA Fan Festival™ Boston, Host City events, and volunteer opportunities.
