As Greater Boston prepares to welcome the world for the 2026 FIFA World Cup™ at Boston Stadium, the Boston 2026 Host Committee invites communities across New England to be part of this historic moment. Founded to unite the region through sport and ensure the World Cup’s impact reaches every neighborhood, the Host Committee believes everyone — from small businesses and restaurants to artists, nonprofits, and municipalities — has a role to play. This playbook offers guidance for hosting local fan events (separate from the FIFA Fan Festival™ Boston at City Hall Plaza) that bring the energy of the World Cup into streets, public spaces, and neighborhood venues, creating vibrant celebrations of culture, inclusion, and regional pride that leave a lasting legacy for our communities.
In addition to the FIFA Fan Festival™ Boston at City Hall Plaza, several community celebration events and watch parties are taking place. Visit the websites of City of Boston, Meet Boston and the Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism for a list of places to watch the FIFA World Cup™ and details of other things you can do across Greater Boston.
The community celebration playbook is available in four different languages.
