JASON ROBINS JOINS FIFA WORLD CUP™ BOSTON 26 HONORARY BOARD

BOSTON, MA (January 12, 2026) – The Boston Host Committee for the FIFA World Cup 26™ today announced Jason Robins, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of DraftKings, will join the Boston 26 Honorary Board. The Board brings together notable business leaders in the public and private sectors to provide strategic guidance and vision to Boston 26, the non-profit organization responsible for the FIFA World Cup 26™ tournament preparations and celebrations in the Boston region.

“We are excited to welcome Jason to the Honorary Board,” said Ron O’Hanley, Chairman of the Boston 26 Honorary Board and Chairman and CEO of State Street Corporation. “As a pioneer in digital sports entertainment, he’s earned a strong reputation both nationally and here in Boston for creating innovative, wide-ranging relationships that capture the competitive spirit of sports fandom. His leadership and business insight will be a tremendous addition to our group.”

Robins co-founded DraftKings in 2012 and has served as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman since its inception. Under his leadership, DraftKings has evolved from a daily fantasy sports startup into a leading digital sports and entertainment company. He guided the company’s landmark 2020 public listing following its merger with SBTech and Diamond Eagle Acquisition Corp., expanding its footprint across North America. A driving force behind industry innovation, Robins has fostered major relationships with professional sports leagues and media companies, while also leading efforts to work with policymakers and regulators to advance smart, responsible legislation around fantasy sports, sports betting, and iGaming.

“I’m honored to join the Boston 26 Honorary Board and help bring one of the world’s premier sporting events to our city,” said Jason Robins, CEO and Co-Founder of DraftKings. “The FIFA World Cup will unite communities across Boston, inspire fans in new and exciting ways, and highlight the passion this region has for sports and innovation.”

A graduate of Duke University, Robins has been recognized by the media and his peers, both nationally and locally, including American Gambling Award’s 2025 C-Suite Executive of the Year, Fortune’s “40 Under 40” list of the most influential people in business, Sports Business Journal’s “40 Under 40,” Boston Business Journal’s “Power 50: Game Changers,” and named one of the Most Influential Bostonians 2025 by Boston Magazine, among others.
