A Celebration for the Fans

The FIFA Fan Festival™ Boston will serve as the city’s central gathering place for fans, residents, and visitors to celebrate the FIFA World Cup 2026™.


Designed as a true community celebration, the FIFA Fan Festival™ Boston will showcase the energy, diversity, and creativity of the region. In addition to live match broadcasts, the festival will feature a Cultural Showcase highlighting local artists, musicians, and performers.

WHAT’S HAPPENING WHEN AND WHERE?

The FIFA Fan Festival™ Boston will take place at Boston City Hall Plaza, 1 City Hall Square, Boston, MA 02203, United States.

 

It will run from Friday June 12th to Saturday June 27th. In addition to the cultural showcase, two or three matches will be livestreamed each day. The opening hours and timings of the matches being broadcast are shown below.

Located in the heart of downtown, the festival will transform Boston City Hall Plaza into a vibrant football hub, bringing the energy of the tournament directly to the city. Fans can watch live match broadcasts while enjoying football-themed activities and entertainment throughout the day. A curated food and beverage program will also showcase Boston’s local flavors, creating an atmosphere that blends the global excitement of the FIFA World Cup™ with the character of the city.

 

FIFA Fan Festival™ Boston food and drink offering features several well-known local Boston restaurant chains, including RedRed Kitchen, Dumpling Daughter, Stillwater Grille, The Sausage Guy, Si Cara Pizza, Summer Shack, Che Empanada, and El Jeffe’s. At the heart of FIFA Fan Festival™ Boston, the Cultural Showcase will ignite the stage with a vibrant celebration of the spirit, creativity, and cultural heartbeat of Boston and communities across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

 

Bringing together acclaimed artists, cultural organizations, emerging talent, and youth performers, the showcase invites audiences on a dynamic journey through music, dance, art, and storytelling. From cherished traditions passed through generations to bold contemporary expressions shaping the future, each performance reflects the many voices, global influences, and shared experiences that define the region. The celebration continues into the evening with live music, DJs, and entertainment that keep the energy high and the atmosphere vibrant throughout the night.

 

Set within the electric atmosphere of the world’s biggest soccer event, the Cultural Showcase transforms the FIFA Fan Festival™ Boston into more than a fan destination, it becomes a gathering place for connection, discovery, and celebration. WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW BEFORE I GO?

We ask that those visiting FIFA Fan Festival™ Boston:

  1. make themselves aware of the rules regarding what can be brought inside. Bags must not exceed 12 inches x 6 inches x 12 inches (30 cm x 30 cm x 15 cm). There are also restrictions on other items being allowed inside as detailed here.
  2. please abide by the code of conduct, and
  3. familiarize themselves with our terms and conditions as a requirement of the registration and entry process.

There are many ‘watch parties’ across the region for those days when you’re not at the Fan Festival. Visit the websites of City of Boston, Meet Boston and the Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism for a list of places to watch the FIFA World Cup™ and details of other things you can do across Greater Boston.

HOW DO I GET THERE?

If you are traveling locally, please walk and cycle if you can. Check-out the location of nearby cycle bike parking here. Alternatively, the city’s Bluebikes bike share system could be a good option though note some temporary changes to docking station locations are in place during the event.


If you are traveling from further away, please use public transportation. You can take one of the subway line or bus routes below:

  • Green Line to Government Center (at City Hall Plaza)
  • Blue Line to Government Center (at City Hall Plaza)
  • Orange Line to State or Haymarket (each about a 5-minute walk)
  • Red Line to Downtown Crossing (about a 10-minute walk), or transfer to the Green Line at Park Street
  • Bus routes 92 or 93 to Congress St @ North St (at City Hall Plaza).

A drop-off / pick-up area for taxis and Rideshare is located very nearby on Cambridge Street between Bowdoin Street and Somerset Street.

INFORMATION FOR THOSE WITH ACCESSIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Guests with disabilities are very welcome at the FIFA Fan FestivalTM Boston.  Numerous arrangements will be made on-site to ensure your visit is comfortable.

 

FIFA Fan Festival™ Boston is an outdoor, high-energy event experience with music, programming, crowds, and active site movement throughout the day. The site has a compact layout, and space may be limited during peak arrival times and major programming.
The information below is provided to help fans plan ahead and understand the accessibility supports available on site. Fans with limited mobility, wheelchair users, and fans with sensory needs, medical needs, or non-visible disabilities are encouraged to review this information before attending and to check out our FAQs for additional information.

 
The venue is accessible for people with mobility disabilities. The venue’s terrain is completely paved with ramp access to every area. Designated service animals (e.g. assistance dogs) are permitted throughout the FIFA Fan Festival™ Boston.


Specific additional arrangements include:

  • A designated drop-off area for mobility impaired guests is located near the main entry on Cambridge Street.
  • Subway stations are accessible for mobility impaired guests.
  • Charging for motorized wheelchair or other medical equipment can be made available. Please speak to staff on arrival.
  • Elevated viewing platforms for attendees using wheelchairs together with their companions.
  • Accessible toilets at all restroom locations.


We ask that, upon arrival, fans requiring assistance proceed to the front of the queue at the main entrance and ask for Fan Services. A Fan Services team member will assist and, depending on site conditions and space availability, may direct fans to a sheltered shared accessibility rest area.

Please note this is a separate credential from the FIFA World Cup 2026™ accreditation, and the application process differs depending on whether the media representative already holds a FIFA World Cup 2026™ accreditation:
